Eva Peng earned a Bachelor of Music from the Wuhan Conservatory of Music in her native China. She served as the resident soprano soloist for the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra and Chorus for many years before immigrating to the United States. During her time with the company, she performed under the direction of many famous conductors, including the late Herbert van Karajan.
She completed a certificate of advanced musical studies from the University of Southern California and a Master of Music degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. With over 25 years of teaching experience, she maintained a large private studio in Los Angeles before moving to Missouri where she taught at North Central Missouri College and Northwest Missouri State University. She has presented papers at numerous conventions, including the American Liszt Society, the World Piano Conference, and many state music teachers associations. She moved to Ann Arbor in 2016 where she currently maintains an active private studio of voice and piano students and is very active in the Ann Arbor Area Piano Teachers Guild.
